Introducing: Flatspot
Flatspot's debut record Wet Socks is out on Friday, March 14
Asset Two is excited to announce the upcoming release of Flatspot’s debut album Wet Socks. The LP was recorded in three sessions with Steve Barber at Tone Capital in Richmond, VA. Prior to getting in the studio, every song was battle tested at a smattering of Richmond and Harrisonburg DIY venues over the course of about a year. Dealing with themes of wasted adolescence and emotional vexation and served with a side helping of humorous self deprecation, the record is a tight 27 minutes of brand new alt-emo. Highlights include the ripping opener, ‘Drop These’, dynamic track three, ‘It All Goes’, and ‘Circles’, which closes out the record.
Asset Two is excited to present a limited edition cassette pressing of the album. Limited to 40 copies, the white cassette shell has a printed label and a hand folded J-Card. It also comes with a nifty little zine folded up nicely inside for your reading pleasure. You can order the cassette here! There is also a shirt up on the webstore that you can buy either individually or as a bundle with the cassette. A mockup of that is below. Keep an eye on the Asset Two (@asset.two) and Flatspot (@flatspotband) Instagram accounts for more photos as soon as we receive them from the manufacturer.
Who the heck is Flatspot?

Flatspot is a Richmond, Virginia, based pop punk or emo group, depending on who you ask. Originally formed as a one-off project, college bandmates Trent Moss (vocals and guitar), and Andrew Hess (drums) cut their teeth in the Harrisonburg DIY scene. After relocating to Richmond following graduation, longtime friends Michael Haddad (bass) and Edward Lukas (lead guitar and backing vocals) joined the mix, and the Flatspot you know and love today was born.
